This morning, World of Card Games was down briefly as I applied a couple of updates.
I've added the sound of a "gong" when the game starts. This will help to alert people who are multi-tasking while they're waiting for a game to start. I realize that some people don't have sound for their computers... I'm not sure what to do to alert this group!
You can turn off the "gong" sound by visiting your profile (click on your user name at the upper right corner) and unchecking the "Play Sounds" box.
I've had requests from a couple of players to add some sound when a person sits at their table, before the game starts. I'm planning on doing this in the near future as well.
You will also notice that the site has some blank space at the right. I've been delaying putting an ad on the site, but I knew I'd have to do this sooner or later, and now is the time. I'll be experimenting with this over the next few weeks.

My cursor swings around and is hard to control. Will you be fixing this in the near future? Thank you for the Halloween and other new avatars! They're fun. :-)

I'm not aware of a bug related to the cursor, so thanks for reporting this. One thing you can try is to turn off the "Custom Cursor" - it's a fancy-looking cursor, but sometimes it causes problems. To turn it off, click on your user name in the upper right corner to edit your profile. Uncheck the "Custom Cursor" checkbox.

Why does the ad space need to be so big? Why can't you make it similar to the ad space on solitaire?

Thank you for pointing this out! It does look like I'm taking up more space than I need to for the ad. I'll take a look to see if I can squeeze back in a little more space for the play area.

Hi Marya, I agree with previous post, but I thank you for keeping this excellent sit free. I can understand why you want ads to keep it that way, but why not simply use the "Hide Ad" option as in Solitaire? Keep up the great work, but you will never please everyone! Cheers, Hank.

Has the gong addition gone live yet? I don't have it nor do I have the "Play Sounds" box either.

Yes, the gong addition went live on Oct 27. I've had a report from one player who does not hear the gong! This player is using a Mac and Safari is the browser.
If you don't hear the gong when your game starts, please fill me in on the details of your system, if you can. There's a website you can visit to get specifics about your system: http://supportdetails.com/. You can either post those here, or send me an email with that info and hopefully I can help.
